Ethical considerations, self-awareness and ongoing growth of a Yoga Therapist

The Conscious, Powerful, and Ethical Care of Self & Others
  • 8 Hours
  • 3 Days Online (two 3-hour sessions & one 2-hour session)

Overview

Ethical living is sourced in personal values and lived experience. When groups of people come together, they must agree to shared values across varied experiences.  This is the heart of ethics.

As yoga practitioners, teachers, and yoga therapists we have already absorbed the Yamas and Niyamas.  These are not just position statements. They are threads from which we weave our personal fabric of ethical living. For example, how do we practice discipline/ self-sacrifice and without depleting, hence harming ourselves? How can ongoing self-discovery/ svadhyaya create new realizations of surrender to something larger than our own experience?

Our yoga-world must interface and integrate with other professions, including the health care complex, therefore we must speak the language of yoga, the language of science/health care, and from our personal experience.

Let’s unpack and re-weave our truth into this dynamic 3-session journey.

  • Developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships
  • Ongoing training and support as a Kundalini Yoga Therapist – mentors and supervision, feedback from others, continuing education
  • Effective use of consultation and support – the value of a team
