September 10, 2024 @ 9:00 - September 14, 2024 @ 18:00 UTC-5

Learn how to teach Trauma Responsive Kundalini Yoga to people recovering from Post-Traumatic Stress. No matter what the cause of the trauma, movement through Kriya, breath and mantra are time-tested approaches clinically demonstrated to be effective in helping people reconnect with their body, reduce symptoms, and provide the support to move from a state of reactivity to an experience of safety and calm.

Note, there is a prerequisite to this course; please see below.

This training is skill based: you will leave knowing how to safely teach Kundalini Yoga to those recovering from trauma, no matter what the source. You will learn and practice the specific skills you need to compassionately, safely, and effectively instruct a trauma informed Kundalini Yoga course for people recovering from Post-Traumatic Stress.

This training is science based: you will learn how trauma dis-regulates the brain, nervous, structural, and endocrine systems and what specific practices of Kundalini Yoga re-set self-regulation over the effects of trauma.

This training is research based: Three scientific studies on the 10-week curriculum you will teach demonstrates this evidence based Trauma Informed Kundalini Yoga curriculum is safe and effective for those recovering from trauma. In addition, you will receive a review of the published studies on the bio-medical effects of yoga practice on trauma recovery.

You will not find this collection of skill, science, and research on the process of recovery from trauma through Kundalini Yoga anywhere else.

At the end of the training you will be able to:

1) Identify the indicators of Post-Traumatic Stress and what is necessary for recovery.

2) Understand the impact of trauma on the brain, glandular and nervous systems and how a specific practice of Kundalini Yoga restores healthy regulation to these systems.

3) Gain skill in methods to co-regulate with your students and clients

4) Skillfully apply your language and manner as a teacher to deliver a Trauma Informed, evidence based therapeutic Kundalini Yoga curriculum.

5) Gain skill in helping a person who has been activated to safely restore calm and Presence. An evidenced based 10-week Trauma Informed Kundalini Yoga curriculum for a group course is provided.
