
Learn how to teach Trauma Responsive Kundalini Yoga to people recovering from Post-Traumatic Stress. This training is skill based: you will leave knowing how to safely teach Kundalini Yoga to those recovering from trauma, no matter what the source. You will learn and practice the specific skills you need to compassionately, safely, and effectively instruct a trauma responsive Kundalini Yoga course for people recovering from Post-Traumatic Stress.
This training is science based: you will learn how trauma dis-regulates the brain, nervous, structural, and endocrine systems and what specific practices of Kundalini Yoga re-set self-regulation over the effects of trauma.
This training is research based: Three scientific studies on the 10-week curriculum you will teach demonstrates this evidence based Trauma Responsive Kundalini Yoga curriculum is safe and effective for those recovering from trauma. In addition, you will receive a review of the published studies on the bio-medical effects of yoga practice on trauma recovery.
You will not find this collection of skill, science, and research on the process of recovery from trauma through Kundalini Yoga anywhere else.
At the end of the training you will be able to:
1) Identify the indicators of Post-Traumatic Stress and what is necessary for recovery.
2) Understand the impact of trauma on the brain, glandular and nervous systems and how a specific practice of Kundalini Yoga restores healthy regulation to these systems.
3) Gain skill in methods to co-regulate with your students and clients
4) Skillfully apply your language and manner as a teacher to deliver a Trauma Responsive, evidence based therapeutic Kundalini Yoga curriculum.
5) Gain skill in helping a person who has been activated to safely restore calm and presence. An evidenced based 10-week Trauma Responsive Kundalini Yoga curriculum for a group course is provided.

Approved for 37.0 Advanced Professional Development hours through IAYT, 37.0 Continuing Education Units for Yoga Alliance, and for 45 contact hours for nurses as required by the California Board of Registered Nurses, Provider# CEP 13960. Attendance for the full duration of the five-day training and completion of assignments are required to obtain a Certificate of Completion.
Note: This training is solely for professional development and is not intended as a supportive treatment for those who have experienced trauma. Talking about trauma, even in the context of a professional training, can be activating. We encourage those who seek to include the practice of Kundalini Yoga as part of their trauma recovery to take the evidence based course taught by one of our graduates.

- Saturday, 9:00am-4:30 pm with 60 min lunch

This is an in-person course. Please plan your travel accordingly to be present for all course hours. Important: Required Prerequisite
Prerequisite: You must be a certified Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher and have taken the Foundations of Kundalini Yoga Therapy: Principles & Practices course offered by Guru Ram Das Center (GRDC) to attend this training. If you have yet to take Foundations, there is one online course offering February 6-9.
Who is this course for: this course is for you if you are interested in gaining the knowledge and skills to teach a Trauma Responsive Kundalini Yoga course to those recovering from trauma. Please note, this training is not for your own treatment or therapy; come ready to serve others.
Attendance: Plan on participating for the full training. If you arrive after the course starts, are out of class during the course except at designated breaks, or leave before the course ends, you will not receive a certificate of completion.
Certificate of Completion: is granted upon participation in full duration of training and satisfactory completion of homework.
